trip to oklahoma
this weekend i ended up back in oklahoma. steph actually got us 2nd row tickets to see "the rocky horror show" which i had never before seen. we had a blast. my face hurt from laughing so much. we also scored some free tickets to see the blazers play a pre-season hockey game. now that was a little more scary than fun. but still something to laugh about after the fact.
while i was in town i also got to visit with SLICK. it's been 10 years since we last saw each other and it seemed as though we had never been apart. i guess the one major change was her beautiful 9 year old daughter!! they've just moved in to a new home and it's wonderful. it's so neat to see how Slick has developed as a person and as a mom. she also did a kick ass job cutting my hair.
so michelle and heidi were also in town so i did get to run in to them for a brief minute. and then i spent time with crystal and her girlfriend watching ou get beat by texas. it sucks that texas won but it was wonderful to sit and talk about our "glory days" playing volleyball.
i have to say that going back to a place that i left so long ago really turned out to be a great stepping stone for me. i got to rekindle some old friendships and make some new memories. it's hard to believe that i left these people so long ago and yet there they were with open arms. i love you guys and i promise to not wait another 10 years to come back.
